For the past 6 years I have been practicing yoga off and on. I was very disciplined for about 3 years, religiously going to my neighborhood yoga studio. After my favorite instructor left to move out of state, my practice fell apart and I fell out of groove. Each time I take a class, I think to myself “why don’t I do this more often?!” My career is stressful and exercise definitely helps to provide an outlet for that stress. But why don’t I commit to things that are good for me?
In the past year, I have found some inspiration through social media. I know it will take time to master yoga inversions and the theories behind them, but I thought this would be a good way to track my progress! The yoga community is supportive and positive. I hope it helps me maintain a positive and healthy mindset throughout the school year. Even if I end up looking like this:
